| Defending World Champion FILLIPPE CHONG (WANTAGE KINGS) won this round but actually lost ground to runner-up TIBOR NEMECEK (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING) at the top of the overall leaderboard after he ran a couple of last places in the qualifying heats. Nemecek scored 17 to Chong's 14 and moved 7 points clear overall - amazingly it was Chong's 3rd win in 5 rounds but Nemecek has actually outscored him by a point in those meetings. Behind them in the Grand Final here were HAYDEN WOOD (LANARKSHIRE LIONS), who enhanced his place in the top 8 places, and Wild Card pick for the round JERNEJ KEGLOVITS (BRATISLAVA BUZZARDS). |
| The other Semi Finalists all added double figure points returns to their series totals. BORIS DVOYNEV (NEWMARKET RAIDERS) falls away from the top of the leaderboard but 11 points keeps him 3rd and still in the hunt for the title. KENNI ALGREEN (WANTAGE KINGS), MACIEJ TERCJAK (WOLSTON WARRIORS) and BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS) fill the places from 4th to 6th overall, as they did at the start of the meeting and at the very least are all looking good to finish in the top 8. |
| The round really went pretty much to the form we have seen over the opening 4 meetings of this season's GP series although wsa a tough one for both RICKY ANTUNOVICH (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) and former World Champion, and runner-up last season, GABRYS IRZYK (NEWMARKET RAIDERS) who drop a couple of places and need improved displays if they want to finish in the top 8 and avoid the GP Challenge meeting. |
