| FILLIPPE CHONG (WANTAGE KINGS) made it consecutive wins in the Grand Prix series as he looks to defend his title world title and the result moves him up 3 places in the standings to 2nd, just 2 points behind the overall leader. The man still at the top of the leaderboard is TIBOR NEMECEK (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING), who reached the Grand Final here where he finished 4th to end the meeting with a 12 point haul. Also in the Grand Final and finishing this round on 12 points was BORIS DVOYNEV (MOSCOW MOTHS) who finished 3rd in the round and holds on to 3rd place overall. It was an impressive display from Wild Card STEVE EDGAR (WOLSTON WARRIORS) who began with a pointless ride but then performed admirably to come 2nd in the Australasian round. |
| HAYDEN WOOD (LANARKSHIRE LIONS) reached the Semi Finals and overall he moves up from 14th to joint 8th. SVEN SVENSSON (STOCKHOLM SCORPIONS) was another rider to improve on his previous showing in the season, more than doubling his tally of the first 2 rounds and moving up 5 places in the standings. The other riders to reach the Semi Finals were MACIEJ TERCJAK (WOLSTON WARRIORS) and KENNI ALGREEN (WANTAGE KINGS); Tercjak moves from 8th to 5th overall while Algreen drops from a joint share of the lead but remains just 4 points off top spot and the Dane was unlucky to suffer bike problems in his Semi Final so will hope for better fortune in the next round. |
| From the rest RICKY ANTUNOVICH (BOTTESFORD BULLETS) took a gamble in returning quickly from an injury and battled hard to hold onto 7th spot on the overall leaderboard despite not looking 100% match fit. BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS) was the big faller of the day with his 2 points haul seeing him drop from 4th overall, although he still hangs on to joint 8th. Even unluckier was JACK HAGEN (TEESSIDE TRANSPORTERS) who sat the round out with an injury and will be hoping he can recover and battle back into the top 8 over the remaining 5 rounds of the series. |
