BRITISH UNDER 18 FINAL
 
ROBERT PUSEY (READING REBELS) was simply a class above the field in this meeting, his only dropped point came in his final ride when he knew a single point was good enough and seemed to settle for his position to claim the title.  Behind him on the rostrum were BILLY MCGILLIVRAY (ESTUARY WHALES) and JACK QUINN (BRATISLAVA BUZZARDS), the latter beating Sheffield's Nathan Green in a run-off for 3rd.
 
Of the younger riders in the field, who will be eligible to compete for this title again next season, 15-year-old Dan Sheldrick, of the Estuary Whales, scored 10 points, and but for a blank in heat 9 could well have made the top 3.  Steve Conway from Harlow Hawks is also just 15 and will hope to return and improve on his 9 point return in the next few seasons.  Riley Payne, of Milton Keynes, is currently competing in the Juvenile Jaunt, and impressed here, scoring in each ride despite being the youngest in the field, aged just 14!  The final name who made an impression was Liam Cottrell, just 15 the young Englishman is without a club this season but scored 6 points to show that his potential may be hard for promoters to ignore in the coming years.
